We help managers
Today’s managers are better educated, carry more responsibilities and are promoted sooner than any previous generation – yet more than half of them won’t fulfil their potential. Instead they are derailed – not by a lack of intelligence or drive, but by limited self-awareness, an excessive reliance on the status quo, and a failure to master new skills.
Leadership isn’t just about being able to tick through a to-do list and get tasks completed, it is about embracing and encouraging growth and development in your workforce – and leading by example.
We help managers to embrace their own development, to learn and employ new methods, and to work effectively with those who report to them, with their peers and with their bosses. In many instances, that means unlearning old habits and embedding new, more effective behaviours. We succeed where others fail because we understand that though learning is easy, making lasting changes to culture and behaviour is tough.
Our leadership development experts act as an extension to your own L&D teams, spending time in your business getting to know the exact needs and challenges you face, now and in the future. We then work in partnership with your L&D team to design and implement management (apprenticeship) programmes aligned to these organisational needs.
We specialise in management and leadership development programmes accredited by the ILM – usually with the Apprenticeship ‘wrapper’ and funding – working in partnership with you to ensure a bespoke solution.
Our programmes include projects that focus on generating income, or reducing business cost, during the programme to give you an immediate return on your investment. Our ILM Management and Leadership Apprenticeships blend theory with on-the-job training to develop leaders that have a tangible and immediate impact on personal and business performance.
What Apprenticeships do we Deliver?
ILM Level 3 Diploma for Managers – which aligns with the Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard for Team Leader/Supervisor – suitable for aspiring line managers and for those who already have management responsibilities (typically Front-Line Managers, Junior Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Project Managers and Shift Supervisors).
ILM Level 5 Diploma for Managers and Leaders – which aligns with the Level 5 Apprenticeship Standard for Operations/Departmental Manager – suitable for middle managers with responsibility for programmes and resource (typically Middle Managers, Operations Managers, Regional Managers, Divisional Managers, Store Managers, Heads of Department and a variety of specialist managers).
The training will typically take place in the workplace, but can also be arranged off-site and, using our thirty years of experience and expertise, we will embed the learning with real experiences and measure success based on tangible improvements in the workplace. At the end of each programme, apprentices will receive a leadership and management diploma from the ILM.
Our approach ensures that participants (apprentices) are inspired to apply their skills and knowledge in their role, balancing the self-confidence to experiment with the understanding of managing themselves in a mature and reflective way.
In addition to formal learning, we ensure that the skills, knowledge and behaviours learned in the programme can be applied and demonstrated appropriately in your business environment, and are in alignment with your ongoing organisational goals and objectives.
